These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Handy Series 7 (the “App”), an independent study aid for the FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative) exam, published by Perng (“we”, “us”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial study purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the App or its content, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
3. Educational purpose; no guarantee of results
The App is an independent study aid intended to help you prepare for the Series 7 exam. It does not provide the official exam and is not a substitute for official exam materials. We make no guarantee that using the App will result in passing the Series 7 exam or achieving any particular score. Practice questions and explanations are provided for study purposes and may contain errors or become outdated as regulations change.
4. Not professional advice
The App’s content is for educational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, legal, tax, or other professional advice. Nothing in the App should be relied upon when making financial or investment decisions.
5. Subscriptions and billing
The App is free to use and may offer an optional auto-renewing subscription (“Series 7 Pro”) that unlocks additional study features. The price and any free-trial terms are shown in the App before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription; any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google (and validated via our provider RevenueCat, Inc.); refunds are handled according to the policies of the applicable app store.
6. Intellectual property and trademarks
The App and its original content (excluding third-party trademarks) are owned by Perng and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. “Series 7”, “General Securities Representative”, and “FINRA” are trademarks of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (“FINRA”). Handy Series 7 is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by FINRA. References to the Series 7 exam are for descriptive and educational purposes only.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms, and not to interfere with or disrupt the App or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of it.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Perng be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or exam outcomes, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App or reliance on its content.
10. Changes to the App and these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
